Simulation Provider Regis Learning Solutions Announces New Company Leadership


DENVER, February 27, 2008—Regis Learning Solutions (RLS), a leading provider of tailored and custom business simulations, announced today that Michael S. Vaughan has been named president, succeeding Peggy K. Steele. Steele, who will remain CEO and a member of the board, has been president since the company’s inception in 2003.

Since co-founding RLS, Vaughan, a widely recognized expert in simulations, has served as the company’s chief operating officer. “There is no one better equipped than Mike to carry on our company’s dedication to providing rich, performance-based training solutions to clients,” says Steele.
Before co-founding RLS, Vaughan served as director of International Learning Systems, vice president of Alignmark/Thomson Publishing, and senior vice president of LogicBay. Over the past 15 years, Vaughan has continually worked toward improved learning technologies and has worked on the teams that developed the industry’s first simulation portal as well as one of the first learning and content management systems.

During his career, Vaughan has founded successful ventures, worked at the executive level, completed management buyouts, raised capital, and aided struggling companies in weathering market turmoil. He is a nationally recognized speaker and researcher in the areas of simulations, using new media in training, and creating world-class learning organizations.  

Vaughan is also the author of the book The End of Training: How Simulations are Reshaping Business, as well as a series of articles entitled “Forces Shaping Our Future”, which provides insight into upcoming changes in the training industry as well as emerging trends.
