Regis Learning Solutions CEO Michael Vaughan Named 2009 Top Young Trainer by Training magazine
DENVER, May 7, 2009—Regis Learning Solutions (RLS), a leading provider of custom and ready-to-deploy business simulations and other experiential learning solutions, announced today that Training magazine has named RLS President and CEO Michael Vaughan one of the world’s most accomplished young trainers.
Training magazine's annual Top Young Trainer Awards recognize the talents, accomplishments and business-driven leadership of 40 young training professionals worldwide who are 40 years of age or younger. Winners who are chosen demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, as well as the ability to deliver innovative, results-driven learning solutions. Individuals are nominated for the award by colleagues and clients.
Vaughan was honored along with other 2009 winners during an awards ceremony at Training magazine’s annual Training Leadership Summit, which was held May 3-6, 2009 in San Diego.
“I am excited to be named among such an exceptional group of professionals,” says Vaughan. "To be nominated by a client and recognized by Training magazine is truly an honor. It is an honor that I share with my very talented, capable team here at RLS—without whom our success as an organization would not be possible."
“As a leader, Mike consistently sets the path and the pace for the work we do at RLS. I’m pleased to see the industry recognize him for this achievement,” says Kevin Himmel, managing director of RLS.
Before co-founding RLS, Vaughan served as director of International Learning Systems, vice president of Alignmark/Thomson Publishing, and senior vice president of LogicBay. He is a nationally recognized speaker and researcher in the areas of simulations, implementing new media-leveraged training, experiential learning, and creating world-class learning organizations. Vaughan is also the author of the book The End of Training: How Simulations are Reshaping Business, as well as a series of articles entitled “Forces Shaping Our Future”, which highlights emerging trends in training, organizational development and human capital management.
